Skyball 6 was an interesting event, especially for us at Web Dog
Radio. Skyball let us come in and film, knowing that we'd be
putting up the footage the day of the event if we could. It ended
up being a LOT more difficult than first imagined. Playing an
event, plus filming it, editing the footage afterwards, and making
something out of it all that made sense... it was a task and a
half. I hate to say that it was a little more than I thought I
could do. Plus the hotel only had dialup internet at the time,
and pushing a video through a phone line was another headache and a
half. We ended up getting Day 1 and 2 on time, but after that it
became so difficult we had to push the releases back.
Finally, our production is complete. What follows is a
"mini-movie" following PPIG
(Pump Players Internet Group) as we played in the Skyball
event. But it's not just the on-field game footage, but it's all
the behind the scenes things that happen at events. The vendors
area, the team meetings, staging area, the goofs, the hotel rooms,
booth babes and all that fun stuff. What follows is the raw
expirence of pump gun players in one of the biggest speedball events of
2003. No rehersals, no script, just the honest unfiltered
experience of a
group of die-hard paintball players proving that it's not technology,
it's teamwork.

Saturday, March 1 Day 4 : The last day of the tournament Run Time : 6:31 PPIG relaxes after a tournament filled with surprises. We score some free stuff, and have some fun in the Canadian snow. Including a trip to the infamous resturant Leonis! (And before you e-mail us, we know this one is a little glitchy. Considering the wizzardry that had to happen to save these video files from a thoroughly dead computer hard drive, you'd be glitchy too. We appologise, but until we get access to professional equipment, WYSIWYG is the rule) Click here for the low resolution (3.9 Meg) Click here for the HIGH resolution (11.7 Meg) |
